Editors --- "A New Tribunal In Queensland" [2004] AdminRw 24; (2004) 56 Admin Review 73

A new tribunal in Queensland

The Commercial and Consumer Tribunal began operation in Queensland on 1 July 2003, replacing the Queensland Building Tribunal, the Property Agents and Motor Dealers Tribunal, the Retirement Villages Tribunal and the Liquor Appeals Tribunal. The new Tribunal can be given additional jurisdiction by additions to the list of ‘empowering Acts’ in Schedule 2 of its enabling legislation. Matters relating to gaming machines and tourism services have been added to the Schedule since the Tribunal began operation.
