ADOPTION (CONSEQUENTIAL AMENDMENTS) (NO. 23 OF 1993)

   4.      Section 4 of the Birth (Equality of Status) Act 1988 is amended by omitting from subsection (2) “sections 9, 33, 42 and 43 of the Adoption of Children Act 1965” and substituting “sections 8, 43, 54 and 55 of the Adoption Act 1993”.  
   5.      Section 4 of the Children's Services Act 1986 is amended by omitting from paragraph (a) of the definition of “adopting parent” in subsection (1) “Adoption of Children Act 1965” and substituting “Adoption Act 1993”.  
   6.      Section 3 of the Testamentary Guardianship Act 1984 is amended by omitting from subsection (2) “sections 9, 33, 42 and 43 of the Adoption of Children Act 1965” and substituting “sections 8, 43, 54 and 55 of the Adoption Act 1993”.
