The Legislative Assembly of the Northern Territory enacts as follows:

1. Short title
This Act may be cited as the Pay-roll Tax Amendment Act 2005.

2. Commencement
This Act comes into operation on 1 July 2005.

3. Principal Act amended
This Act amends the Pay-roll Tax Act.

4. Amendment of section 17A (Interpretation)
(1) Section 17A –

omit

includes –

substitute

includes the following:

(2) Section 17A(b) –

omit

reward; and

substitute

reward;

(3) After section 17A(c) –

insert

(d) the activity of a trustee in carrying out duties as such.
