2011 A Bill for An Act to amend the Criminal Code to legalise two-up games at certain Anzac Day celebrations
Criminal Code (Anzac Day Betting) Amendment Bill 2011 [s 1] The Parliament of Queensland enacts-- 1 Clause 1 Short title 2 This Act may be cited as the Criminal Code (Anzac Day 3 Betting) Amendment Act 2011. 4 Clause 2 Code amended 5 This Act amends the Criminal Code. 6 Clause 3 Amendment of s 230A (Definitions for ch 23) 7 (1) Section 230A-- 8 insert-- 9 `exempt two-up game means a two-up game played on 25 10 April at a celebration held at a permitted two-up venue to 11 commemorate Anzac Day. 12 permitted two-up venue means-- 13 (a) a licensed club; or 14 (b) a licensed hotel. 15 licensed means licensed under the Liquor Act 1992.'. 16 (2) Section 230A, definition unlawful game-- 17 insert-- 18 `(d) is not an exempt two-up game.'. 19 Page 4
