2013 A Bill for An Act to amend the Criminal Code for a particular purpose

 


 

Criminal Code (Looting in Declared Areas) Amendment Bill 2013 [s 1] The Parliament of Queensland enacts-- 1 Clause 1 Short title 2 This Act may be cited as the Criminal Code (Looting in 3 Declared Areas) Amendment Act 2013. 4 Clause 2 Code amended 5 This Act amends the Criminal Code. 6 Clause 3 Amendment of s 398 (Punishment of stealing) 7 Section 398, punishment in special cases-- 8 insert-- 9 13A Stealing by looting in a declared area 10 If the offence is committed in an area that at the time 11 of the commission of the offence is a declared area 12 under the Disaster Management Act 2003, the 13 offender is liable to imprisonment for 14 years. 14 Authorised by the Parliamentary Counsel Page 4
