Schedule—Additional salary
The Parliament of South Australia enacts as
follows:
This Act may be cited as the Aboriginal Lands Parliamentary Standing
Committee (Presiding Member) Amendment Act 2013.
This Act will come into operation 1 month after the day on which it is
assented to by the Governor.
In this Act, a provision under a heading referring to the amendment of a
specified Act amends the Act so specified.

Section 3, definition of appointed member—delete the
definition

(1) Section 5(1)—delete "7" and substitute:

(3) Section 5(2)—delete "(other than the Minister to whom
administration of this Act is committed)"
(4) Section 5(3)—delete subsection (3)

of section 7—Presiding Member
(1) Section 7(1)—delete subsection (1) and
substitute:
(1) The Committee must from time to time appoint 1 of its
Legislative Council Members to be the Presiding Member of the Committee.
(1a) The Presiding Member must preside at meetings of the Committee or, in
the absence of the Presiding Member from a meeting, the members present must
decide who is to preside at the meeting.
(1b) If the members are at any time unable to come to a decision on who is
to be the Presiding Member, or on who is to preside at a meeting of the
Committee in the absence of the Presiding Member, the matter is referred by
force of this subsection to the Legislative Council and the Legislative Council
will determine the matter.
(2) Section 7(2)—delete "The Minister, or other presiding
member, has" and substitute:
