The Parliament of South Australia enacts as
follows:
This Act may be cited as the Statutes Amendment and Repeal (Trade
Measurement) Act 2009.
(1) Subject to subsection (2), this Act comes into operation on the
day on which it is assented to by the Governor.
(2) Sections 4, 5 and 6 and Schedule 1 clause 2 will come into
operation on 1 July 2010.
In this Act, a provision under a heading referring to the amendment of a
specified Act amends the Act so specified.

of Natural Resources Management
Act 2004
4—Amendment
of section 106—Determination of quantity of water
taken
Section 106(2)—delete subsection (2)
5—Repeal
of Trade Measurement
Act 1993
The Trade Measurement Act 1993 is repealed.
6—Repeal
of Trade Measurement Administration
Act 1993
The Trade Measurement Administration Act 1993 is
repealed.

1—Transitional provisions
1—Transfer and
disclosure of information etc
The register, or a copy of the register, kept under section 47 of the
Trade Measurement Act 1993 and any documents, material or
information obtained in the course of the administration and enforcement of that
Act or the Trade Measurement Administration Act 1993 may be
transferred, provided for inspection or disclosed to an agency or
instrumentality of the Commonwealth for the purposes of the administration and
enforcement of the National Measurement Act 1960 of the
Commonwealth.
Unless the contrary intention appears or the context requires a different
interpretation, a reference in an Act, a statutory instrument, any other kind of
instrument or a contract, agreement or other document to the Trade
Measurement Act 1993 or the Trade Measurement Administration
Act 1993 will have effect as if it were a reference to the National
Measurement Act 1960 of the Commonwealth.
