The Parliament of South Australia enacts as follows:
Part 1—Preliminary
Short title
1. This Act may be cited as the Statutes Amendment (Renaissance Tower—Gaming and Liquor Licences) Act 2003.
Amendment provisions
2. In this Act, a provision under a heading referring to the amendment of a specified Act amends the Act so specified.
Part 2—Amendment of Gaming Machines Act 1992
Amendment of section 15—Eligibility criteria
3. Section 15(1)(c)—after subparagraph (ii) insert:
or
(iii)the holder of the licence also held a gaming machine licence on 22 June 1994;
Part 3—Amendment of Liquor Licensing Act 1997
Substitution of heading to Schedule
4. Heading to the Schedule—delete the heading and substitute:
Schedule 1—Repeal and transitional provisions
Insertion of Schedule 2
5. After Schedule 1 insert:
Schedule 2—Special provision relating to removal of Renaissance Tower licence
Special provision relating to removal of Renaissance Tower licence
1. Section 61 applies to an application for the removal of the special circumstances licence (No. 51200417) in force in respect of the Renaissance Tower, 6th Floor, 127 Rundle Mall, Adelaide, in the same way as it would if that licence were a hotel licence.
Expiry of Schedule
2. This Schedule will expire on a day to be fixed by proclamation.
