National Parks and Wildlife (Nullarbor Wilderness Protection Area—Hunting and Food Gathering by Aboriginal Persons) Proclamation 2013
under section 68D of the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1972
1—Short title
This proclamation may be cited as the National Parks and Wildlife (Nullarbor Wilderness Protection Area—Hunting and Food Gathering by Aboriginal Persons) Proclamation 2013.
2—Commencement
This proclamation comes into operation on the day on which it is made.
3—Taking of plants, animals or eggs by Aboriginal persons permitted
(1) Subject to subclause (2), an Aboriginal person may take a native plant or a protected animal or the eggs of a protected animal in pursuance of Part 5A Division 2 of the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1972 from the Nullarbor Wilderness Protection Area.
(2) A plant, animal or egg must not be taken within 500 metres of the Eyre Highway.
