Opal Mining (Reservation from Act) Proclamation 2011
under section 4 of the Opal Mining Act 1995
1—Short title
This proclamation may be cited as the Opal Mining (Reservation from Act) Proclamation 2011.
2—Commencement
This proclamation comes into operation on the day on which it is made.
3—Reservation of land from provisions of Act
The area defined in Schedule 1 is reserved from the operation of Parts 2 and 3 of the Opal Mining Act 1995.
Schedule 1—Land reserved from provisions of Act
1—Arkaroola protection area
The area bounded as follows: commencing at a point being the intersection of the southern boundary of Block 1108, Out of Hundreds (Copley) and a north-eastern corner of the boundary of Vulkathunha-Gammon Ranges National Park (at approximately 342345mE, 6636848mN MGA Zone 54), then generally north-westerly and north-easterly along the boundary of that National Park to a western boundary of Block 1108, Out of Hundreds (Copley), then generally north-easterly along the boundary of Block 1108 to a track (at approximately 341406mE 6663530mN MGA Zone 54), then generally north-westerly and north-easterly along that track to latitude 30° 02'00"S GDA94, east to longitude 139° 28'00"E GDA94, north-easterly to the intersection of latitude 30° 01'00"S GDA94 and longitude 139° 29'00"E GDA94, east to longitude 139° 31'00"E GDA94, south to latitude 30° 02'00"S GDA94, south-easterly to the intersection of latitude 30° 04'00"S GDA94 and longitude 139° 32'00"E GDA94, south to a point of coordinates 358710mE 6667085mN, then generally south-westerly along a line joining the points of coordinates 357440mE 6666937mN, 356526mE 6666808mN, 355940mE 6666097mN, 354440mE 6665308mN, 354053mE 6665308mN, 352941mE 6664164mN, 352940mE 6663808mN, 352940mE 6662921mN, 352447mE 6662308mN, 351440mE 6661222mN, 350872mE 6660808mN, 350441mE 6660493mN, 350510mE 6660443mN, 350019mE 6660054mN, 349942mE 6660106mN, 349941mE 6659308mN, 349941mE 6657808mN, 349940mE 6656308mN, 349329mE 6654808mN, 348718mE 6653308mN, 348440mE 6652626mN MGA Zone 54 successively, then east to an eastern boundary of Block 1108, Out of Hundreds (Copley) (at approximately 349327mE 6652638mN MGA Zone 54), then generally southerly and north-westerly along the boundary of Block 1108 to the point of commencement.
