Preamble

1 By proclamation made pursuant to the Opal Mining Act 1995

on 19 December 2017 (Gazette 19.12.2017 p5137) certain land was reserved from the operation of Parts 2 and 3 of that Act.

2 It is now intended that the proclamation referred to in clause 1 be revoked under the Opal Mining Act 1995

and the land referred to in Schedule 1 be reserved from the operation of Parts 2 and 3 of that Act.

1—Short title

This proclamation may be cited as the Opal Mining (Reservation from Act) Proclamation 2018.

2—Commencement

This proclamation comes into operation on the day on which it is made.

3—Revocation of proclamation

The proclamation referred to in clause 1 of the preamble is revoked.

4—Reservation of land from provisions of Act

The areas of land defined in Schedule 1 are reserved from the operation of Parts 2 and 3 of the Opal Mining Act 1995
