Southern State Superannuation (Insurance, Spouse Accounts
and Other Measures) Amendment Act (Commencement)
Proclamation 2007
This proclamation may be cited as the Southern State Superannuation
(Insurance, Spouse Accounts and Other Measures) Amendment Act (Commencement)
Proclamation 2007.
2—Commencement of Act and
suspension of certain provisions
(1) The Southern State Superannuation (Insurance, Spouse Accounts and
Other Measures) Amendment Act 2006 (No 40 of 2006) (the
Amendment Act) will come into operation on
1 February 2007.
(2) The operation of—
(a) sections 4(4) and (8), 5, 7, 8, 9, 18, 24, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30(2) and
(3) and 32 of the Amendment Act; and
(b) paragraph (b) of section 21(2) of the Southern State Superannuation
Act 1994 (inserted into the Southern State Superannuation
Act 1994 by section 12 of the Amendment Act); and
(c) paragraph (a) of section 33A(14) of the Southern State
Superannuation Act 1994 (inserted into the Southern State
Superannuation Act 1994 by section 20 of the Amendment
Act),
is suspended until a day or time or days or times to be fixed by subsequent
proclamation or proclamations.
