(1)  A prisoner or detainee may apply to the Director to see his or her property.

(2)  If the Director approves an application, he or she is to provide the prisoner or detainee with access to the property within one week of the approval.

(3)  The Director is to approve any application that is lodged by a prisoner or detainee within 14 days before the date fixed for his or her release from prison.
