(1) The responsible operator of a taxi licence must ensure that the taxi top-light and the tariff indicator lights affixed to the taxi are removed while the taxi is being used (a) to provide a limited passenger service in accordance with the Passenger Transport Act 1997 ; or(b) to carry passengers in order to attend a wedding or funeral; or(c) to carry passengers under a contract or agreement that is (i) in a form approved by the Commission; and(ii) entered into between the responsible operator of the taxi licence, or his or her agent, and another person.Penalty: Fine not exceeding 10 penalty units.(2) Regulations 28 and 30 do not apply to a taxi which has its taxi top-light and tariff indicator lights removed in accordance with this regulation.
