As soon as practicable after the close of voting in a poll, the Returning Officer is to count the votes by examining the ballot papers to determine the following in respect of each proposal submitted to the voters in the poll:(a) the number of ballot papers marked "yes" by voters approving each proposal;(b) the number of ballot papers marked "no" by voters rejecting each proposal.
