Victorian Numbered Acts Victorian Numbered Acts(1) An authorised officer or independent investigator must produce their identity card for inspection—
(a) immediately before exercising a power of entry under Division 3; and
(b) before exercising any other power under this Act if asked to do so.
(2) If it is not practicable to comply with subsection (1) before exercising the power, the authorised officer or independent investigator must produce the identity card for inspection at the first reasonable opportunity.
(3) An authorised officer or independent investigator must produce their identity card for inspection while exercising a power under this Act at a premises if asked to do so by the occupier or a resident.
(4) If an authorised officer or independent investigator does not comply with a request under subsection (3), the authorised officer or independent investigator must immediately cease exercising the power.
