(1) The Regulator, an authorised officer or an independent investigator, by written notice, may request a person to provide information or documents that the Regulator, authorised officer or independent investigator reasonably believes is necessary for the purposes of—
(a) monitoring compliance with a provision of this Act or the regulations; or
(b) the worker and carer exclusion scheme.
(2) A person is authorised to provide the information requested under subsection (1).

(3) A person may refuse to provide the information requested under subsection (1).
(4) The Regulator, authorised officer or independent investigator, at the time of making a request of a person under subsection (1), must advise the person that the person may refuse to provide the information requested.
