SOCIAL SERVICES REGULATION ACT 2021 (NO. 37 OF 2021) - SECT 202

Service of confidentiality notices

    (1)     A confidentiality notice under section 201(1) , or a notice cancelling a confidentiality notice under section 201(3), (4) or (9), is to be issued by service in any of the following manners—

        (a)     giving a copy of the notice to, or serving it personally on, the person;

        (b)     sending by registered post a copy of the notice addressed to that person at the person's last known place of residence or business;

        (c)     delivering a copy of the notice to the person by means of electronic communication that is confirmed as having been received by the person;

        (d)     sending by registered post a copy of the notice, addressed to the person's authorised legal representative, to the place of business of the person's authorised legal representative;

        (e)     leaving a copy of the notice at the person's usual or last known place of residence with a person on the premises who is apparently not less than 16 years of age;

        (f)     leaving a copy of the notice at the person's usual or last known place of business with a person who is apparently employed at the premises and who is apparently not less than 16 years of age;

        (g)     leaving a copy of the notice for that person—

              (i)     at the place of business of the person's authorised legal representative; and

              (ii)     with a person who is apparently employed at the premises and who is apparently not less than 16 years of age;

        (h)     delivering a copy of the notice, addressed to the person's authorised legal representative, to the person's authorised legal representative personally;

              (i)     delivering a copy of the notice to the person's authorised legal representative by means of an electronic communication that is confirmed as having been received by the person's authorised legal representative.

    (2)     For the purposes of subsection (1), a person may deliver a notice to another person personally by placing a copy of the notice on a surface in the presence of that other person.

    (3)     For the purposes of subsection (1)(c), the receipt of a notice may be confirmed by any form of electronic communication.
