(1) A document required or permitted to be given to or served on a person under this Act or the regulations may be given or served—
(a) if the person is an individual—
(i) by delivering it personally to the person; or
(ii) by leaving it at the person's last known place of residence or business with a person apparently over the age of 16 years and apparently residing there or (in the case of a place of business) apparently in charge of, or employed at, that place; or
(iii) by sending it by post addressed to the person to the person's last known place of residence or business; or
(iv) by electronic communication in accordance with the Electronic Transactions (Victoria) Act 2000 ; or
(b) if the person is a body corporate—
(i) by leaving it at the person's last known place of business with a person apparently over the age of 16 years and apparently in charge of, or employed at, that place; or
(ii) by sending it by post to the person's last known place of business; or
(iii) by electronic communication in accordance with the Electronic Transactions (Victoria) Act 2000 .
(2) This section is in addition to, and not in derogation from, sections 109X and 601CX of the Corporations Act.
(3) If a document is to be given to or served on the owner or occupier of any premises and the name of that person is not known, the document may be addressed to "the owner" or "the occupier".
