(1) If the Regulator makes a determination under section 55(4)(a), the Regulator may investigate the conduct of the WCES worker or carer.
(2) An investigation under subsection (1) may be carried out on behalf of the Regulator by—
(a) an authorised officer; or
(b) an independent investigator.
(3) The Regulator or an authorised officer or independent investigator may carry out an investigation in the manner the Regulator, authorised officer or independent investigator considers most appropriate, having regard to—
(a) the provisions of this Act; and
(b) the presumption that the carrying out of the investigation in the most timely and efficient manner is in the best interests of the persons and bodies involved; and
(c) the circumstances of the particular investigation.
