VICTORIAN ENERGY EFFICIENCY TARGET AMENDMENT (SAVING ENERGY, GROWING JOBS) ACT 2015 (NO. 61 OF 2015) - SECT 1

The purpose of this Act is to amend the Victorian Energy Efficiency Target Act 2007 —

        (a)     to specify the VEET scheme target for the years 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020; and

        (b)     to provide that the VEET scheme target for each year from 2021 to 2029 is to be specified by regulations; and

        (c)     to require that the greenhouse gas reduction rates for electricity and for gas are to be fixed having regard to the VEET scheme target.
