PLUMBING (HEAT PUMPS AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 2007 (SR NO 2 OF 2007)

   5.2.1B. Solar water heaters with boosters must be gas operated if gas supply available If a reticulated gas supply from a gas company is available for connection to a Class 1 building, any solar water heater (other than a heat pump water heater) incorporating booster heating that is installed in or about the building must be a gas boosted solar water heater.  
   5.2.1C. Use of heat pump water heaters if gas supply available If a reticulated gas supply from a gas company is available for connection to a Class 1 building, any heat pump water heater that is installed in or about the building must be a heat pump water heater that does not require any part of the heater to be connected to the mains electricity power supply for it to operate.";
