A Bill for
An Act to amend the Child Support (Adoption of Laws) Act 1990.
The Parliament of Western Australia enacts as follows:

1 1. Short title
2 This is the Child Support (Adoption of Laws) Amendment
3 Act 2014.
4 2. Commencement
5 This Act comes into operation as follows --
6 (a) sections 1 and 2 -- on the day on which this Act
7 receives the Royal Assent;
8 (b) the rest of the Act -- on the day after that day.
9 3. Act amended
10 This Act amends the Child Support (Adoption of Laws)
11 Act 1990.
12 4. Section 3 amended
13 In section 3(a) delete "1 July 2012; and" and insert:

15 1 July 2014; and

17 Note: The purpose of this amendment is to ensure that the adoption by
18 Western Australia of the Child Support (Registration and Collection)
19 Act 1988 (Commonwealth) extends to that Act as amended --
20 (a) on 17 November 2012 by the Social Security and Other
21 Legislation Amendment (Further 2012 Budget and Other
22 Measures) Act 2012 (Commonwealth) Sch 4; and
23 (b) on 11 December 2012 by the Personal Liability for Corporate
24 Fault Reform Act 2012 (Commonwealth); and
25 (c) on 15 December 2012 by the Social Security and Other
26 Legislation Amendment (Further 2012 Budget and Other
27 Measures) Act 2012 (Commonwealth) Sch 3; and
28 (d) on 12 April 2013 by the Federal Circuit Court of Australia
29 (Consequential Amendments) Act 2013 (Commonwealth); and
30 (e) on 29 June 2013 by the Statute Law Revision Act 2013
