Community Titles Amendment (Consistency of
Charging) Bill 2018
A Bill for
An Act to amend the Community Titles Act 2018 to impose certain
fees prescribed under that Act to the extent that those fees are a tax.
The Parliament of Western Australia enacts as follows:

1 1. Short title
2 This is the Community Titles Amendment (Consistency of
3 Charging) Act 2018.
4 2. Commencement
5 This Act comes into operation as follows --
6 (a) sections 1 and 2 -- on the day on which this Act
7 receives the Royal Assent;
8 (b) the rest of the Act -- when the Community Titles
9 Act 2018 section 187 comes into operation.
10 3. Act amended
11 This Act amends the Community Titles Act 2018.
12 4. Section 187 amended
13 After section 187(1) insert:

15 (1A) To the extent that regulations to which subsection (1)
16 applies prescribe a fee that includes an amount that is a
17 tax, the regulations may impose the tax.
