An Act to amend the Fire and Emergency Services Act 1998.
The Parliament of Western Australia enacts as follows:

1 1. Short title
2 This is the Fire and Emergency Services Amendment Act 2015.
3 2. Commencement
4 This Act comes into operation as follows --
5 (a) sections 1 and 2 -- on the day on which this Act
6 receives the Royal Assent;
7 (b) the rest of the Act -- on the day after that day.
8 3. Act amended
9 This Act amends the Fire and Emergency Services Act 1998.
10 4. Part 4A inserted
11 After section 18O insert:

13 Part 4A -- Bush fire prone areas
14 18P. FES Commissioner may designate bush fire prone
15 areas
16 (1) The FES Commissioner may, by order published in the
17 Gazette, designate an area of the State as a bush fire
18 prone area if satisfied that the area is subject, or likely
19 to be subject, to bush fires.
20 (2) The FES Commissioner may, by order published in the
21 Gazette, amend or revoke an order published under
22 subsection (1).
