Effect of amendment 2 page i 9--1 Western Australia LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL (Introduced by Hon Jim Scott, MLC) Metropolitan Region Scheme (Fremantle Controlled Access Highways) Bill 2001 A Bill for An Act to repeal the Metropolitan Region Scheme (Fremantle) Act 1994 and for related purposes. The Parliament of Western Australia enacts as follows: page 1 Metropolitan Region Scheme (Fremantle Controlled Access Highways) Bill 2001 s. 1 1. Short title This Act may be cited as the Metropolitan Region Scheme (Fremantle Controlled Access Highways) Act 2001. 2. Commencement 5 This Act shall come into operation on the day on which it receives the Royal Assent. 3. Interpretation In this Act -- "Map" means the map reproduced in the Schedule; and 10 "Metropolitan Region Scheme" has the same meaning given it in the Metropolitan Region Town Planning Scheme Act 1959. 4. Metropolitan Region Scheme (Fremantle) Act 1994 repealed The Metropolitan Region Scheme (Fremantle) Act 1994 is 15 repealed. 5. Amendment to Metropolitan Region Scheme The Metropolitan Region Scheme is amended by cancelling the Controlled Access Highway classification on those portions of land shown stippled on the Map. 20 6. Effect of amendment The Amendment to the Metropolitan Region Scheme effected by section 5 has effect as though the provision were enacted by the Metropolitan Region Town Planning Scheme Act 1959. 25
