The Parliament of Western Australia enacts as follows:

1    1.       Short title
2             This is the Terrorism (Preventative Detention) Amendment
3             Act 2016.

4    2.       Commencement
5             This Act comes into operation on the day on which it receives
6             the Royal Assent.

7    3.       Act amended
8             This Act amends the Terrorism (Preventative Detention)
9             Act 2006.

10   4.       Section 60 amended
11            Delete section 60(1) and insert:

13            (1)   In this section --
14                  expiry day means 22 September 2026.
