Microsoft Internet Explorer. If you cannot see the AustLII Toolbar after you have installed it, go to the browser's View menu, select the Toolbars option and click on the LII Toolbar entry. Note: some earlier versions of Internet Explorer version 5.0 have a known problem with displaying toolbars. The AustLII Toolbar may be named Radio. In this case, go to the browser's View menu, select the Toolbars option and click on the Radio entry (usually the second one if there are two).

  4. How do I update the AustLII Toolbar?
  5. To ensure that the links on the AustLII menu are kept up to date for new databases or changed database URLs, you should occasionally update the toolbar.

Microsoft Internet Explorer. To update the AustLII Toolbar for Internet Explorer:

A dialog box should appear indicating whether the update was successful or not. If it was successful, you must close all browser windows and restart the browser for the update to take effect.

SeaMonkey Suite. You do not need to manually update the Toolbar because it retrieves an updated database listing from AustLII every time you open your browser.

Mozilla Firefox. If you already have the AustLII Toolbar version 1.1.7 (29 November 2006) or later installed, you do not need to update the Toolbar because it retrieves an updated database listing from AustLII every time you open your web browser.

If you have an earlier version of the AustLII Toolbar for Mozilla Firefox installed, you need to go to your Firefox Tools >> Extensions (v1.5 and earlier) or Tools >> Add-ons (v2.0+) menu and choose the Find Updates button. If there is an update available, it will be installed and then you will need to close all Firefox windows and restart Firefox.
