  This Act is the 

Nature Repair Market (Consequential Amendments)

Act 2023

.

2  Commencement

(1)  Each provision of this Act specified in column 1 of the table

commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with 

10 

column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect 

11 

according to its terms.

(a)  the Biodiversity Convention; or

(b)  any other international agreement, signed on behalf of

Australia, that:

(i)  relates to biodiversity; and

(ii)  imposes obligations on Australia to take action to 

23 

enhance or protect biodiversity; or 

24 

 

(c)  an international agreement, signed on behalf of Australia, 

25 

that: 

26 

 

(i)  relates to biodiversity; and 

27 

 

(ii)  is specified in a legislative instrument made by the 

28 

Biodiversity Minister for the purposes of this definition.

international biodiversity body 

means:

(a)  a body established under an international biodiversity

agreement; or

(b)  a body established by a body mentioned in paragraph (a).
