An Act to amend the Constitution Act 1902 to clarify that the appointment of persons to the offices
of Lieutenant-Governor of the State and Administrator of the State is to be made by the Governor
of the State.
I have examined this bill and find it to correspond in all respects with the bill as finally
passed by both Houses.

The Legislature of New South Wales enacts--
1 Name of Act
This Act is the Constitution Amendment (Appointment of Lieutenant-Governor and
Administrator) Act 2022.
2 Commencement
This Act commences on the date of assent to this Act.
3 Amendment of Constitution Act 1902 No 32
(1) Section 9B Appointment of Lieutenant-Governor and Administrator
Omit "Her Majesty's pleasure by Commission under Her Majesty's Sign Manual
and" from section 9B(2).
Insert instead "the Governor's pleasure by Commission under".
(2) Section 9B(3)
Omit "Her Majesty's" Insert instead "the Governor's".
(3) Section 9B(4)
Omit "Her Majesty's pleasure by Commission under Her Majesty's Sign Manual
and".
Insert instead "the Governor's pleasure by Commission under".
