PARLIAMENT OF VICTORIA Initiated in Council on by the Hon. Philip Davis A BILL to amend the Gambling Regulation Act 2003 and for other purposes. Gambling Regulation (Limitation of Number of Gaming Machines) Act 2006 The Parliament of Victoria enacts as follows: 1. Purpose The purpose of this Act is to amend the Gambling Regulation Act 2003 to limit the maximum permissible number of gaming machines available for gaming in the State. 5 2. Gambling Regulation (Limitation of Number of Gaming Machines) Act 2006 s. 3 Act No. 3. Amendment of section 3.2.3 After section 3.2.3 (6) of the Gambling Regulation Act 2003 insert-- "(7) Despite anything to the contrary in this section, on and from 15 April 2012 the 5 maximum permissible number of gaming machines available for gaming in the State (other than at the Melbourne Casino within the meaning of section 62A(2) of the Casino Control Act 1991) is 22 000.". 10 2 551PM6B.I1-22/8/2006 BILL LC INTRODUCTION 22/8/2006
